A man died and went to Heaven and met God. God showed him his past life and his complete journey on Earth.
The man observed all the scenes from his life and reflected on what he had seen. Then he turned to God and said: “God, you had told me that you would always walk by my side during my journey through the world. And I see indeed that wherever I had been, for the most part there were two sets of footprints, one yours and one mine. But I notice that at the most difficult times in my life, when I really needed your help, there was only set of footprints. Why did you desert me when I needed you most?”
God smiled at him and said: “My poor child, how could you think that I would ever desert you, and especially when you required Me? Where you see only one set of footprints…I was carrying you.”
Of all the liars in the world, sometimes the worst are our own fears.
